“Today I have made the decision to walk with Christ,” said Gorebi in Cote d Ivorie. “Through the JESUS Film, I understand Christ died and rose from the grave for my salvation. My parents and I used to worship fetishes. Now I love Jesus and thank God for His love for me.”

Dr Filimao Chambo, as he leads the Africa Region, his wife Rev Samantha, and their children Tsakani and Emanuel.

Dr David Graves, General Superintendent in jurisdiction for Africa, and his wife Sharon.

Field Strategy Coordinators and Regional Service Coordinators as they seek God’s direction and implement strategies to make Christlike disciples across Africa.

Rev Bugeshi Desire, assistant district superintendent of the North Kivu District and pastor of the Keshero Church of the Nazarene in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has been hospitalized since 07 April 2010 in the Hospital Heal Africa. The cause of his illness was not stated. Please pray for God’s healing touch on Bugeshi. Pray also for his family and the Keshero Church at this time.

Connie Mackenzie, who is recovering from a severe infection in her leg and was treated with intravenous therapy. Please pray for God to touch and heal Connie from the infection. Connie is a retired missionary to South Africa and is presently the Africa South Field treasurer.

Lesley Hooper as she heals from a broken leg, surgical procedures, and an infection. Please continue to pray for Lesley’s complete recovery. Lesley is the Travel Agent for the Africa Regional Office.

Sibusani Orah Dlamini, who remains hospitalized following a fatal car accident in South Africa on 07 March in which her husband, Rev Ephaem Dlamini, was killed. The Dlamini’s were in the process of transferring to the Republic of South Africa to take over the Dlamini Church of the Nazarene in Soweto when the accident occurred. Pray for Sibusani to completely recover from her injuries. Pray also for her two children, Malamlela and Bhekiwe.

Rev Danilo and Marie Carvalho as they continue to stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to extend their South Africa visas and obtain a work permit for Angola to continue their missionary service there. Their hearts are very burdened for the people of Angola. Please pray that God will grant them favour with the South African embassy to receive an extension of their visas and with Angolan embassy to receive their work permit. The Carvalho’s are intern missionaries from Cape Verde serving in the Lusophone Field country of Angola.

April and Spencer Baggot who have travelled to Johannesburg, South Africa, to await the birth of their third child. April began experiencing contractions in early April, although her due date is in June. Please pray for God’s touch on April and the baby; that she will be able to carry the baby close to term for a healthy baby. Pray also for Spencer and the children, Luke and Abigail, during this time. The Baggots are intern missionaries serving in the French Equatorial Field country of Rwanda.

Mbienfait Family: The father of Mutabazi Mbienfait, pastor of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Goma, passed away after an extened stay in the hospital in Goma, DRC. Please pray for the family during this time of loss.

Family of Rev Russell Shalley: Russell Shalley went to be with the Lord on Sunday, 18 April 2010, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Russell was a retired pastor from the Northeastern Indiana district and the father of Michael Shalley, missionary to Namibia. Please pray for the family at this time.

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death” (Revelations 12:11).

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8).
