Baby Heidi Biesenbach
was born on Friday, 29 May 2010, to proud parents Harald and Lovatiana. Her big sister, Fiona, joined in welcoming Baby Heidi to the Biesenbach home. Harald served as Coordinator of Disaster Response for NCM/Helping Hands Africa for several years before moving to Germany with his family in late April. Congratulations on the birth of Baby Heidi!

Margaret Scott
has recovered
from a severe bout with Malaria. She wrote, “Almost 10 years to the day in Africa, Malaria got me. It’s not fun. You wouldn’t want it. But Jon and I are very thankful that I got great medical care, modern meds, and time for rest. I thank the Lord for your prayers – that I would be patient, that my body is responsive to the meds, that all of the parasites would be completely eliminated.” Margaret and her husband Jon are missionaries serving in Malawi.

Neal Estey - We prayed in 2007 for Neal Estey as he battled cancer. This report about Neal’s health was received by the Prayer Mobilization Line: “Neal is doing so well that the doctors use his case as an example in their lectures of how chemo and the unexpected can happen. The medical team is well aware that prayer and faith have been a huge part of healing for Neal.” Praise the Lord for the witness of faith and hope that has been displayed throughout Neal’s treatments and for his continued healing. He is the son of former missionaries, John and Sandra Estey, who served in South Africa and Swaziland.

Students have deployed to Cote d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, USA (El Paso, TX), India, Italy, Liberia, Mexico, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, Vanuatu, and a Creative Access area in Asia. The Youth In Mission students join hundreds more who have been mobilized from each of our Nazarene Universities in the USA, and even more from other world areas. Pray especially for the YIM teams in the Africa Region.

Burkina Faso Radio - World Mission Broadcast currently airs a successful radio programme in the French language called “Temps” (meaning “Time”) in the country. A new programme is under development in the Mòoré language which is spoken by more than five million Mossi people. The Mossi are the largest ethnic group in Burkina Faso, constituting more than forty percent of the population. Pray that the Lord supplies all that is needed for the new radio programme to go on the air soon. Pray also for the “Temps” programme as it airs and for the other World Mission Broadcast programmes that are on-the-air globally.

From the Word

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize” (I Corinthians 9:24-27).
