Praises
Baby Silas Baggott was born on Friday, 11 June 2010, to April and Spencer. Both baby and mother did very well, and were released from the birthing centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, later in the day. Baby Silas was welcomed home by big brother Lucas and big sister Abigail. The Baggots would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers throughout the past months as they awaited the arrival of Silas. The Baggots are missionaries serving on the French Equatorial Field in the country of Rwanda.
Baby Zachariah Maranatha John Hess was born on Monday, 14 June 2010, to Rev Maranatha and Allison Hess. Both Zachariah and mother are doing well and are home from hospital where they were welcomed by big brother Jeremiah. Maranatha is the coordinator of HIV/AIDS Ministries with NCM/Helping Hands Africa.
JESUS Film teams have reported 55,758,285 evangelistic contacts from January 1998 through June 2010. Of these contacts, 9,917,510 (17.8% of contacts) have indicated decisions for Christ with 3,484,397 (35.1% of decisions) initial discipleship follow-ups. There have been 23,023 preaching points started.

Please pray for:
Rev Errol Davids who was diagnosed with a stage 3 malignant brain tumour. Errol is in the Wentworth Hospital in Durban, South Africa. Please pray urgently for God to touch and heal Errol. Pray also for Errol’s wife Cynthia as they deal with this critical situation. Errol is the pastor of the Living Waters Church of the Nazarene in Manzini, Swaziland.
Dr Filimao Chambo, as he leads the Africa Region, his wife Rev Samantha, and their children Tsakani and Emanuel.
Dr David Graves, General Superintendent in jurisdiction for Africa, and his wife Sharon.
Rev Danilo and Marie Carvalho as they continue to stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to extend their South Africa visas and obtain a work permit for Angola to continue their missionary service there. Please pray that God will grant them favour with the South African embassy to receive an extension of their visas and with the Angolan embassy to receive their work permit. The Carvalho’s are intern missionaries from Cape Verde serving in the Lusophone Field country of Angola.
Lesley Hooper who broke her leg on 14 March and underwent two surgical procedures to reset her leg. Although Lesley has now been mobile for a few weeks, she continues to struggle with an infection which is not totally cleared. Please continue to pray for Lesley’s complete and speedy recovery. She is thankful for everyone’s continued prayers. Lesley is the Travel Agent for the Regional Office.
Mary Gardner - Pray for Mary Gardner who is hospitalized in grave condition in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She is the 96-year-old mother of Dale Stotler, retired missionary who served in Lesotho and South Africa.
Dorothy Evans - Retired missionary Dorothy Evans underwent neck surgery on 17 May. She came through the surgery well and is at home. Pray for her complete recovery. Dorothy served in the Philippines and Swaziland.
Family of Reuben Toman - Reuben Tomah, pastor and Children’s Ministries Worker from Liberia, passed away on 02 June 2010. Please pray for his family, church, and the various Children’s Ministries that will be impacted by this great loss.
The country of South Africa as it hosts the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup. Pray for safety and security for the teams, all visitors, and those attending the games as well as residents of the country. Pray also for peace to prevail throughout the event. Pray for Christians who will take this opportunity to share about God’s love with attendees.
The work in Mali: Pray for the ministry team in Mali as they open the work of the church in this new country.
Youth In Mission Teams - 41 college students are spending their summer ministering around the globe through Youth In Mission. Students have deployed to Cote d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, USA (El Paso, TX), India, Italy, Liberia, Mexico, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, Vanuatu, and a Creative Access area in Asia. The Youth In Mission students join hundreds more who have been mobilized from each of our Nazarene Universities in the USA, and even more from other world areas. Pray especially for the YIM teams in the Africa Region.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4: 4-9).
