Missionary Personnel is responsible for the personnel needs of the missionaries and Mission Corp volunteers serving on the Africa Region, from helping with shipment of goods to and from the field to helping obtain visas and work permits in their assigned countries. Requests for leave.

With the seemingly steady flow of missionaries arriving, departing, and/or relocating within the Africa Region, the numbers of missionaries are constantly changing. The following numbers will provide a good indication of the current status.

Missionary Personnel Services in the Africa Regional Office:

Bev Shute, Missionary Personnel Services Coordinator, is responsible for all the logistical issues of having missionaries in Africa, the development and implementation of a sending system for Africans who are called to be missionaries, and acting as a liaison for the missionaries in Africa and the World Mission Division at the Global Ministry Center (GMC) in Lenexa, Kansas, USA, on all matters related to missionary service including contracts and home assignment dates.

Brittany Leslie, Administrative Assistant, is responsible to act as a liaison between the GMC, the Africa Regional Office, and the requesting field site with Work & Witness and Youth In Mission teams, along with other visitors to Africa Region to ensure that approvals have been met, visas and insurance are in place, all necessary documents have been processed. She works with the field site to ensure that all items related to both the team and the project (i.e. accommodation, building approvals, supplies, ministry sites, on-site coordinators) for specific jobs are in place.
